Trumps first day in office
Posted by tomachi on January 27th, 2025 filed in RandomLegendary music journalist Gary Steel introduced me to Frank Zappa and interviewed Sly Dunbar over at WitchDoctor.co.nz, so I have great respect for the man. But I could not resist responding to a flame-bait anti-Trump post on Facebook he made 4 days back supposedly explaining how or why Trump supporters are ignorant (attacking
somewhat?), and supposedly detailing Trump's flaws. I was actually curious to know why people get triggered by this, so I wrote up a big (somewhat trolling) reply... but I blasted right over the 8,000 character limit for Facebook comment replies hence I posted the full text here in full.
I'm morbidly curious to know why people are upset about Trump's election win?
Gary - all your links seem broken? Due to truncation of the URLs?
Trumps first few days have been excellent and a little shocking I thought. Shocking in a kick-ass way though. He exaggerates. But he gets shit done. I agree he is a despicable bad man.... aren't they all? Isn't that desirable?
The brain of this modern world seems to have a severe right-hemisphere stroke
that killed off the selfless, artistic, non-verbal, spatial synthetic skills
to focus solely on left-hemisphere stuff: symbolic, selfish, and logical. I'm
glad Trump got in. So important to come clean about JFK. And UFOs. Clean
energy technology from another planet exists but is held back stuck in the
secrecy of the Manhattan Project and the Atomic Energy Commission. There is no
place for secrecy in a democracy, this is why Trump is good. Coral Reefs love
warm clear water. Warm water.
Surely Not More Fraudulent Than The Average Real Estate Investing
Course?
Regarding alleged fraud of the Trump University / real estate workshop
lawsuit; if this really was fraud shouldn't this be a criminal
investigation?
Also, who pays $35k to learn property investing? Greedy people
probably.
Sure he should not have included the word University his main fault, he says
he would have won the case if at trial; but there was no criminal fraud case?
They are due to get 90% of their fees back pretty soon I hear.
I was thinking to congratulate Trump on his win and 77 million votes, but
never got around to it. Impressive first day in office. Was thinking to ask
why people so upset about it? Surely Bidden is more upsetting to watch?
I used to be a radical environmentalist: thinking maybe humans are a pest on
the Earth idling our engines in traffic like that. So I did my part:
sacrificing my own bloodline not to have children to save the planet by using
contraception etc. Then I hear we need more babies? OK. Skills shortage? OK.
Up until I realised the Una-bomber was also a radical environmentalist. He
wanted to bomb the universities to slow down or "dumb down" the human race in
order to reduce the eco-impact of homo sapiens. He was caught due to his long
winded essays. He was a lecturer / professor. He was found due to his writing
style analysis software used by university ultimately turned on his own
writings for pattern recognition.
BACK TO TRUMP
I will admit I was not impressed to see "children in cages" at the border
back in 2016.
But that was an unintended consequence from a partial implementation /
compromise deal gone bad. Imagine if infinite amounts of communists were
permitted to enter NZ? Something had to be done. It is bad enough already: US
computer security agencies have informed out govt that departments such as The
Treasury and Parliamentary Services were infiltrated with data stealers from
confuscious institutes spyware; or take the example of Jian Yang the national
party list member from the CCP. But we can't just
rock over to China and start researching Tienanmen Square Massacre
documentaries while pregnant.
Trump is right to clamp down, he will likely stop Jus soli,
but he probably can't stop Lex soli. Jus Soli meaning "right
of soil" is uncontrolled birthright citizenship, part of English common law
but not Europe. Lex Soli means the "law of the right of soil" and is **the
most common means** of acquiring citizenship around the world, but it is
always regulated. No other countries do this. None outside the Americas, Chad,
Lesotho, Pakistan up until 2024, Fiji and Tuvalu; unconditionally! The US law
was a prerequisite to the abolishment of slavery in the 19th century. It's
moot debate anyhow as the U.S. Supreme Court has never specifically ruled on
whether the children of people in the country illegally would qualify for
birthright citizenship (why? how?).
Only 5% are criminals
During Biden's idiocracy, approximately 8 million undocumented illegal
crossed the border into USA, lots of adult males, 435,719 people with criminal
records, and often many lone operative desperadoes as it's not really a good
route for a family. Actually mostly 617,770 Mexicans, 250,000 Venezuelans,
200,000 Guatemalans
and thirty six thousand Chinese according to the BBC.
There is an animated video guide produced by CCP and they have camps for their
brethren in the army. Some plan to join the army, learn weapons, then go
home.
It won't affect much of anything since countries including USA have long ago
acceded to the 1961 Convention on the Reduction of Statelessness and we are
all obligated to grant nationality to people born in their territory who would
otherwise become stateless persons. The American Convention on Human Rights
similarly provides that "Every person has the right to the nationality of the
state in whose territory he was born if he does not have the right to any
other nationality."
Trumps order should gracefully activate after Feb. 19 to children born under
those circumstances and directs agencies against issuing documents recognizing
citizenship and bars them from accepting any governmental documents purporting
to recognize citizenship for births in those cases.
Of the western nations, only Canada and USA have birthright laws. It's an
American thing it seems. I put it down to the presence of porous land borders.
Ireland ditched its birthright citizenship law in 2005, and France jettisoned
its own in 1993. Since WW2 and jet-flights replaced travel by boat here, NZ
never really has boat people arriving; we take small amounts of refugees and
asylum seekers, but even they all come via airplane, and customs does not
allow heavily pregnant women to travel here without visas. PS I always
supported Algerian parliament member Ahmed Zouie and he was released 1 week
after my bands (SJD and 'one million dollars') performed his benefit concert
at the Kings Arms.
A president need not be likable; but he does need to have strong values, be
action oriented rather than identity focused, and able to walk, talk, and
answer questions unlike that other senile fool (Biden) and the laughing
prosecutor-lady. I don't know about the IQ scores of Trump supporters, but
they do seem to be more attractive and reasonable than many of the vicious
democrat cats.
Yes, Trump can be an awful muff-gripper, but if a president or King can't
break an egg to make an omelette who will?
Also, all those links seem to be fake news:
[1] USA Today - 404 page not found. scamming poor people = the world of
business?
[2] Daily Beats - 404 page not found."a man who had made it his business
practice to stiff his creditors" - hey I said I don't like the guy, he ticks
all those rich pricks boxes, and he should pay his creditors - Bad Trump! But
who's fault is that? Weak laws and weak fraud policing maybe?
[3] ABC News - 403 error request blocked.
https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/list-trumps-accusers-allegations-sexual-misconduct/story?id=51956410
a kiss and a grope in 1997? Too old! That is just weaponisation of the justice
department.
[4] Washington Post- I just realised Gary - you copy/pasted truncated URLs
none of these links are gonna work.
" shoot a man on Fifth Avenue" - you sure he wasn't referring to the lack of
law enforcement in NYC atm?
"elderly guest headbutts ground" - not a really strong point?
It is not illegal to imagine "Muslim-Americans in the thousands cheering
9/11" and it is correct to think that is inappropriate right?
I never saw him "mock the disabled"? Did you ever see an obese person win a
gold medal?
I agree that Trump seems fucked in regards "Central Park Five", but didn't he
say "if they did it, they should still be in prison" ? Maybe he not get the
memo they were innocent.
I agree it's a bit spooky him asking his supporters to police his events,
that is dark. So be it.
He didn't fail to condemn Neo-Nazi's that was taken out of context. Re-watch
the speech in context. He said "blah blah neo nazis. awful people." or
similar. None-issue.
The only person "unable to talk to foreign dignitaries" is Bidden and
Laughaloud Harris. Both Ukraine and October 7 would never have happened under Trump.
Probably, the Palisades Wildfires in LA might not have happened either.
The FBI and CIA should be shutdown. Good on trump for billing them and
releasing JFK, RFK, MLK files. Bad on FBI for so many murders.
I never saw him "remove expertise from all layers of government" which
expertise was that?
Agreed he should be more kind to Puerto Rico, you have good point
there.
I think you meant Australia instead of NZ? When did he "start fights with
every country from Canada to New Zealand"? Australian wine got next to banned
from import to China, but our puppet leader Jacinda was politically correct
and maintained our export routes to China didn't she? I didn't like it when
she did that, but I get it, and am cool with it, cos dolla dolla bill y'all.
China is our biggest single market AFAIK.
The only "corruption" I witnessed was 4 years of unacceptable censorshit in
violation of 1st amendment, weaponisation of the justice system all the time,
suppression of Bernie Sanders (what the absolute?!), suppression of RFK, Joe
Rogan, and I guess Alex Jones; Deletion of "Parler" app, a top-10 social
networking social networking app stores by Apple, Google, Microsoft and Amazon
simultaneously. Before it went offline in January 2021, according to Parler,
the service had about 15 million users. Parler called the removals "a
coordinated attack by the tech giants to kill competition in the marketplace".
Parler resumed service on February 15, 2021, after moving domain registration.
A version of the app with added content filters was released on the Apple App
Store on May 17, 2021 and Parler returned to Google Play on September 2, 2022.
That should never have happened.
PS all your links got truncated.
NZ does not have an inheritance tax?
Posted by tomachi on November 23rd, 2024 filed in GigsNo Tax Here
PS The Guardian.says Apple paid almost no tax in New Zealand for at least a decade reports say in their 23 Mar 2017 reporting despite sales of $4.2 billion.
Apple casually never mentions their secret tax-haven NZ in their article "The facts about Apple’s tax payments". I just filed an OIA request for their past 10 years payments at FYI.ORG.NZ: High internal charging of iPhones by Apple Global to Apple NZ is how they do it.
OIA to IRD NZ for past 10 years payments by Apple in tax
Also they are my personnel yardstick: Apple is the largest taxpayer in the world we’ve paid over $35 billion USD in corporate income taxes over the past three years, plus billions of dollars more in property tax, payroll tax, sales tax and VAT. But not so much in NZD to IRD NZ?
They (Apple and IRD NZ) seem to be the perfect example to single out for investigation to check how our whole global tax system is function don't you agree?
